Teen Israel Experience Programs

Bringing thousands of teens to Israel for life-changing experiences

Teen Israel Experience Programs annually involve thousands of teens from around the world in experiential programs in Israel, implemented by a wide variety of program organizers, which are supported or partially funded by The Jewish Agency.

These programs include:

Bac Bleu Blanc: a teen Israel Experience, affiliated with The Jewish Agency, which typically brings more than 1,000 Jewish teenagers from France to Israel each year. The program includes an introduction to Masa Israel Journey and to Aliyah. The trip is operated by Israel Experience, a Jewish Agency subsidiary, and also receives subsidies from the organization as well as from the Israeli Ministry of Education.

Teen Trips for Jewish Day Schools in Mexico bring 95% of Mexico’s Jewish teenage population to Israel by the time they graduate from high school. Most groups combine their trip with the March of the Living, and in Israel, they include a visit to Mexico’s Partnership2Gether region of Eshkol.

Israel as a Shared Society: In partnership with UJA-Federation of New York, operators of North American Jewish teen travel programs, and Israeli organizations that serve Arab teenagers, The Jewish Agency is embarking on a new project to make it possible for American Jewish teenagers to share meaningful encounters with Arab-Israeli peers, in order to enhance their travel experiences with a more nuanced understanding of Israeli culture. This program is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2022.

Makom.IL: The Jewish Agency’s unique overnight Jewish summer camp in Israel for Russian speakers aged 13-17 from Israel and the former Soviet Union (FSU). The Makom.IL program facilitates encounters between Russian-speaking Jewish youth from Israel and their peers from the FSU, creates conditions for participants to explore their Russian-Jewish culture and heritage alongside their connection to Israel, and provides participants tools to continue learning about their personal and Jewish identities after camp is over. The camp is staffed by Russian-speaking Israeli counselors along with counselors from the FSU.
