The event was organized by The Jewish Agency for Israel, Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and leading businesses from the Negev as part of efforts to support residents of Israel’s South.
Three planes took off from Gondar to Addis Ababa on August 10, 2023, carrying more than 150 passengers including Israeli citizens, Jewish Agency staff and program participants as well as around 50 eligible immigrants who are expected to make Aliyah soon.
A total of 5,000 people, reuniting with their families, have made Aliyah from Ethiopia in the effort coordinated by The Jewish Agency for Israel and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration.
