The Machon (“Institute”) helps youth leaders in Zionist movements around the world effectively respond to the challenges facing both Israel and their own communities, and fosters motivation and skills for leadership and heightened engagement in Jewish life. The program includes 4.5 months of experiential courses in Jewish and Israel education and leadership, as well as site visits around Israel. After participating in a gap year in Israel, they return home better equipped to speak about the Jewish State and become agents of change in their communities.
Today, the Machon trains several hundred young leaders each year. Since its founding, the Machon has served over 20,000 young men and women from around the world. Among the Machon’s alumni are Jewish Zionist educators and leaders of Diaspora Jewish communities.
