The Jewish Agency for Israel

Daniel Goodman hails from Highland Park, Illinois, and holds a BSBA in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Denver. His career began at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he excelled in their management training program within the food and beverage department. Daniel’s expertise also extends to managing luxury F&B operations at elite private golf clubs in Jackson.

In 2009, Daniel decided to exchange the pastoral life for the bustling cityscape and returned to Chicago. His extensive experience in the restaurant industry saw him operating and managing multiple ventures. In 2021, Daniel transitioned into the residential construction industry, driven by his passion for service. He joined JAR Corp, a premier residential builder in Highland Park, quickly learning the ropes and ascending to a partner role.

Service to the community runs in Daniel’s blood, a legacy passed down from many including his grandfathers, Corky Goodman and Bob Adler. Upon his return to Chicago, Daniel immersed himself in community work, engaging with the Jewish Federation of Chicago’s Gesher leadership program and serving on their Young Leadership Division board. His commitment extends to organizations like FIDF, Zeta Beta Tau Foundation, American Friends of Hebrew University, and his family’s foundation, Crown Family Philanthropies (CFP).

At CFP, Daniel is a trailblazer, being the first fourth-generation member on the board of directors, where he continues to serve with distinction. He is an active member of the Jewish and Israel giving committee and chairs the Global Health committee. His role often takes him to Israel to collaborate with the family’s partners.

A graduate of the Wexner program and the Jewish non-profit board member program through Northwestern, Daniel is passionate about contributing to meaningful organizations, particularly in Israel.

Daniel resides in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood with his wife Carrie and their three children, Anna, Jacob, and Adina. Despite a busy schedule, he cherishes family time and indulges in his love for food and drink, both at home and while dining out. He is a devoted parent, attending his children’s school and sporting events, and enjoys travel, skiing, and outdoor activities in his limited free time.
