Partnership2Gether

Connecting Jewish Communities Around the World

Partnership2Gether

The global Jewish family is stronger together—the Jewish Agency for Israel's Partnership2Gether program makes this vision a tangible reality. By connecting Israeli cities with Jewish communities worldwide, it creates an ever-growing network of support, friendship, as well as a way of understanding the rich variety of religious expression around the world.

What does it mean to be part of a global Jewish community? It's a question that can be answered a million different ways. Partnership2Gether is a way to bridge the gap of understanding and bring us together in the spirit of our faith. It not only creates deep interpersonal relationships that transcend location, but it also celebrates our rich heritage, our differences, and the culture that unites us all.
There are 46 partnerships happening right now—cities like Netanya and Cincinnati or Ramat Ha'Negev and Denver—that engage and connect more than 350,000 Jewish people. We have a mutual responsibility to each other and by building and supporting these relationships, it will in turn, create a stronger connection to Israel and the Jewish experience.

When unspeakable tragedy happened at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh in October 2018, the entire Jewish community grieved alongside the world. But the feeling was especially palpable in Karmiel-Misgav, Pittsburgh's partner region for more than two decades. There has been an outpouring of support and solidarity between the two cities, including plans for a permanent memorial to be erected in Karmiel in memory of the victims at Tree of Life.

  • Thanks to Partnership2Gether, a young Israeli woman had a built-in connection with the city that would end up her hosting her as Shlicha. It made her experience today more meaningful.
