Bringing the American Jewish Experience to Israel through P2G Fellows
For decades, The Jewish Agency has sent Shlichim (Israeli emissaries) to Jewish communities around the globe to foster connections with Israel. But what if we reversed that idea?
A new Partnership2Gether initiative, P2G Fellows, is doing just that: sending young American Jews to communities in Israel to serve as emissaries and help Israelis connect with world Jewry.
Benny from Richmond, Virginia, and Jasmine from Charleston, South Carolina, just recently finished up their year serving as P2G Fellows for the Hadera-Eiron-Southeast Consortium P2G partnership. (And you can get to know them and learn about their experience in the video below.)
“It’s important for Israelis and American Jews to have a strong connection because at the end of the day, we’re all Jewish,” said Jasmine. “So to come and live in Israel and truly make a difference in the community, and to feel like you are giving back to the country that stands for you, is the best feeling in the world.”
