Program of JAVA programming in Beersheva

We are pleased to inform you of the opening of a new employment program to encourage aliya in the field of JAVA programming.
This is a joint program from the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, the Gvahim Association and the Jewish Agency.
Description of program components:
- The program offers new olim professional-technological training in a field of programming that is in demand in Israel
- The olim will live at the Jewish Agency Ye’elim absorption center in Beersheva
- The professional training will be provided by the Tel Ran company
- Course graduates will be employed in many high-tech companies in the Israeli economy, provided they successfully complete the professional training and meet all the criteria/requirements of the position
Target population and criteria:
The program is intended for about 30 (maximum) participants who meet the following criteria:
- Eligible for aliya and will arrive in Israel by April 30, 2024
- Academic education in any field
- Highly motivated to learn and succeed
- Ages 21-36
- Basic knowledge in operating the computer as a user
- Basic command of English
- Successfully passed the screening test and admission interview by Tel Ran representatives
Costs and accommodations:
Accommodations are provided at the Ye’elim absorption center in Beersheva:
The apartments are 2 and 3-room apartments, suitable for families with children and individuals (one per room – 2 or 3 per apartment).
Payment:
- 2-room apartment – NIS 1600 rent does not include usage fees. Electricity, water and gas according to consumption.
- 3-room apartment – NIS 1800 rent does not include usage fees. Electricity, water and gas according to consumption.
- Single – NIS 800, including usage fees (if this exceeds NIS 500 consumption, the participant will pay the difference).
Description of program components:
- 5-months of Hebrew studies at an ulpan
- Professional training course for about 12 months (the training starts during the ulpan studies, in the afternoon hours)
- Job placement in the acquired profession
Program schedule:
- May 2024 – Hebrew studies at an ulpan
- July 2024 – Start of evening classes for professional training
- November 2024 – Professional Hebrew language studies
- November 2024 – Start of morning classes for professional training
- March 2024 – Final project
- Starting in May 2025 – Job placement
Program operation:
- Many resources are invested in the program. Every candidate who participates in the program is obliged to complete the program from beginning to end.
- Any unjustified withdrawal is a violation of the participation conditions in the program and will result in fines of NIS 5,000 per participant.
- The program will not admit returning residents, applicants with prior eligibility or any other candidate who lived, made aliya or was born in Israel, delay or move up their arrival by more than a month and a half.
- All of the program components (Hebrew studies in the ulpan, professional training, job placement, etc.) are intended solely for the program participants.
- All rights and benefits (including costs) are valid for the program dates specified in this document.
- The program schedule is correct as of today. In the event that there are any changes, we will update the shlichim and the candidates.
