Last Sunday, June 15, the Youth Futures program was kicked off in Jerusalem.
The program will run in a unique format in two separate neighborhoods in Jerusalem - Gilo and Kiryat Yovel - with the cooperation of Los Angeles and the JVP Foundation. This unique format is based on an equal partnership with the JVP "Bekehila" program, which operated social programs in Jerusalem since 2002, to reduce social and economic gaps.
The ceremony was held at the JVP's new media center with Mr. Zeev Bielski, Chair of the JAFI Executive, Mr. Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles, and Erel Margalit, Chair of the JVP Foundation.
