Jewish Communities Around the World Show Support for Israel
during Operation Pillar of Defense
Jewish Agency for Israel Shlichim (emissaries) are assisting dozens of Jewish communities around the world to show support for Israel. The communities have organized rallies, Facebook campaigns, written letters of solidarity and held phone conversations with Israelis under rocket threat. In addition the Jewish Agency’s Fund for Victims of Terror is providing grants from funds raised by the Jewish Federations of North America. Also, thousands of young Jews from around the world are in Israel on volunteer programs through Masa Israel, a joint project of the Jewish Agency and the government of Israel.
