Bruce Sholk is Chair-Elect of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore and will become Chair of the Board starting July 2010. Serving as Campaign Chair in 2007, Mr. Sholk currently leads the associated’s overall financial resource development efforts. Mr. Sholk is a member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel where he serves as Chair of the Aliyah and Klitah Budget and Finance Subcommittee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of United Jewish Communities where he sits on the Overseas Governing Committee and chairs the Ethiopian Israeli Work Group.
He is Vice Chairman of the Board of International Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. Previously, Mr. Sholk chaired the Israel and Overseas Committee of the associated and is a founding board member and former President of Hillel of Greater Baltimore. An active proponent of Jewish camping, Mr. Sholk sits on the boards of Camp Shoresh and Capital Camps. He is actively involved in his synagogue and children’s day school, as a member of the Boards of Directors and Chair of the capital campaign.
Mr. Sholk is Managing Partner of Axcel Partners, a venture capital partnership. He and his wife, Beth Kaplan, have two sons, Henry and Seth who attend Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School.
Bruce Sholk has been a member of the Board of Governors since September 2005. He is Deputy Chair of the Israel Engagement Committee.
