Ms. a Doctoroff is the chair of the board of UJA-Federation. She has been an involved leader in the New York Jewish Community for many years. She and her husband, Dan Doctoroff, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding of the City of New York, are philanthropic and involved Jews in New York. They have been donors to UJA-Federation since the late 1990’s and in the last few years, have contributed over $150,000 each year to the annual campaign.
Ms. Doctoroff's main volunteer activities during the past few years include: President of the Congregation Or Zarua; she is the current President of Abraham Joshua Heschel School; Co-Founder of the Jewish Lens; member of the UJA Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal: Past Chair, Youth and Young Adults Task Force; Chair of the Israel Task Force, Member of the Board and the Cabinet of UJA Federation NY.
In addition, Ms. Doctoroff is a member of "Moving Traditions"; member of the Executive Committee of Jewish Telegraphic Agency; member of the Board of Jewish Funders Network; member of the American Jewish Committee and member of the Schechter Institute.
Ms. Doctoroff served as a Member of the Jewish Agency Board of Governors on February 2008 through June 2009 and from October 2010 on .
