Mr. David Bitan has served as the deputy mayor of Rishon Lezion for about seven years.
Prior to this he served as a member of the Rishon Lezion Municipality for 23 years. He served in the City Hall as the presider over legal cases, auditors, human resources, portfolio engineering and now currently handles the portfolio responsible for liaison with government ministries and the Knesset.
Previously he served on the board of directors of Phosphates in the Negev, Israel Consumer Council, Rehabilitation Foundation, the Economic Society of Rishon Lezion, chairman of Rishon Lezion Soccer. Currently, he serves on the board of Directors for Urban Culture, Sports and Recreation.
Mr. Bitan has a LLB degree from Tel Aviv University and practiced in a law firm since 1988.
He served in the Israel Defense Forces as a combat medic in the Medical Corps. He is married with two children and resides in Rishon Lezion.
He is a Board Member since June 2011.
